The Yamaha MUTR10S straight trumpet mute features a strong but lightweight aluminum body with a brushed finish that helps hide fingerprints and reduce glare. The base of the mute has a stair-stepped taper and a conical dimple in the bottom. These help break up the sound waves inside the mute to improve sound quality and intonation over standard mutes with a flat bottom and smooth sides. Made in the USA.
